Privacy Policy

MySocialPrompt (“we”, “us”) runs mysocialprompt.com, a social network where people share prompts for AI-generated images and video. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you create an account

• With email and password: your name, email address and a password, which we store only as a one-way hash.
• With Google, Facebook or X:the basic profile the provider shares with us, namely your name, email address (Google and Facebook; X does not provide one) and profile picture, plus the provider’s account identifier so we can recognise you next time. We never receive your password for those services, and we do not post anything on your behalf.

What you add to your profile and share

• Username, bio, website, location, profile picture and cover image.
• The topics you pick during onboarding, the members you follow.
• Prompts, images and videos you publish, comments, likes and saved prompts.
• Messages you send through the contact form, and reports you file about content.

Your profile, the prompts you publish and your comments are public. Your email address, saved prompts and reports are never shown to other members.

Collected automatically

• A session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a local setting that remembers your cookie choice.
• When you were last active, used for community statistics.
• Usage statistics through Google Analytics (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address).
• Standard server logs (IP address, time, requested page), kept for security and troubleshooting.

Why we use it

• To run your account and sign you in (performance of our contract with you).
• To show your profile and content to other members, and a feed based on your topics and follows.
• To send transactional emails: email verification, password reset and account notices.
• To send the newsletter, only if you subscribed; every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To keep the community safe: automated and human moderation of comments and reports, and enforcement of our Terms of Service (our legitimate interest).
• To understand how the site is used and improve it (with your consent where required).

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who processes it for us

• OVHcloud: hosting of the site and database (European Union).
• Google, Meta (Facebook) and X: only when you choose to sign in with them.
• Google Analytics: audience measurement.
• Resend: delivery of our emails.
• DeepSeek: automated moderation of comment text, and help drafting descriptions for prompts imported with our browser extension. Only the text concerned is sent.

Some of these providers process data outside the European Union. Where they do, the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by law, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Account data and content: for as long as your account exists.
• Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
• Contact messages and moderation records: up to 3 years.
• Server logs: up to 12 months.

Deleting your account and data

To delete your account, send a request through our contact page using the email address of your account (or your @username if you signed in with X). We delete your account within 30 days, together with your profile, prompts, images, comments, likes, saved prompts, follows and the link to your Google, Facebook or X account. We will confirm by email when it is done.

If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove MySocialPrompt from Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites; that stops Facebook from sharing data with us, and your request through our contact page erases what we already hold.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. You can edit most of your profile yourself in Settings. For anything else, write to us through the contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, which the site cannot work without, and cookies set by Google Analytics to measure audience. A notice lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies.

Children

MySocialPrompt is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and access to the administration area is limited to staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of any breach as required by law.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; for significant changes we will let you know on the site or by email.
