landscape

Four vertical posters take a familiar genre, the Chinese landscape scroll, and rebuild it out of pure topographic line. Ridges, rivers and clouds become hundreds of long, smooth contour strokes that flow like silk, while a single canoe, walker or boat sits impossibly small inside vast fields of white and deep blue. The feeling is calm, monumental and quietly thrilling.

Three moves do the heavy lifting. Continuous contour lines replace ordinary texture, so each fold of terrain reads as one unbroken gesture of the hand. A single negative space corridor, whether river, valley or cloud road, carries the eye from foreground to distance. Then a strict palette of only two to four flat colours keeps everything graphic and poster-like, and the lone tiny scale anchor turns abstract land into something human-sized.

To remix it, keep the structure and swap the variables: choose glacier, desert or coast instead of canyon, pick a warmer or colder palette, and re-place the traveller or boat. Widening the 9:16 frame to 4:5 or 16:9 turns the same template into a book cover or a wide banner.
